How do you replace an Ikea removable foam mattress cover after you get it off?
I have one of the chairs Poang with a "removable" cover that I took off and washed. . . however, getting the part back in the foam cover proved VERY difficult, the foam does not just slide back in. Now the pad into the cover looks lumpy. . . I fear that the same, or worse, will happen with this Ikea mattress cover, as there is only a small opening on one end to get it out. Help!

I have ran into this problem too. They are nasty to get back on. I have removed a mattress cover from a spring mattress which I think has the same difficulties. To replace the cover, (this was a double bed) I had to have my hubby and one of my teen daughters help..I found tilting the mattress on end and folding it a bit together…then wiggling the cover on…having the mattress settle into place with a bit of laying across it worked. Did it once..said I would never do it again..LOL. I have another removable cover I use on top of the mattress and just wash it regularly instead. Those things are just way too much playing around for my liking.
I too have a Poang chair, but I never wash it. Since I did not pay hefty premium I just end up getting a new one.
I stumble across a deal by MyRewardsVault.com seems to be giving $250 IKEA gift card that you might want to check out if you like IKEA furniture. I just filled up the form, all you need is a valid e-mail address.
